Teddy had his vet check today and he’s back to 100%! His splenectomy incision is fully healed

Today was a day filled with relief, gratitude, and the biggest smiles we’ve had in a long time. After weeks of watching over Teddy, worrying about his every movement, and hoping for healing with all our hearts, we finally received the news we’ve been praying for. Teddy had his follow-up vet check today… and he is officially back to 100%! His splenectomy incision has fully healed, and our brave little fighter is shining brighter than ever.

Walking into the clinic this morning, we were all nervous. Even Teddy seemed to sense the importance of the visit. He stayed close to us, his tail giving slow, hopeful wags, as if he could feel that something big was about to happen. The vet greeted him with a smile and gentle hands, impressed by how alert, cheerful, and strong Teddy looked. And honestly, we could already tell—Teddy felt better. His spark was there again, glowing proudly in his eyes.
When the vet examined his incision, checking every little detail, every stitch site, every sign of healing, we held our breath. And then came the moment we’ll never forget:
“He’s completely healed. Everything looks perfect.”
Those words washed over us like sunshine after a storm. Teddy is healed. Teddy is healthy. Teddy is back.

The vet even commented on how incredible his recovery has been—how his incision healed beautifully, how his energy has returned, and how his body has adjusted wonderfully after the surgery. And the best part? There are no restrictions now. Teddy can run, play, jump, and enjoy life just like before.
Leaving the clinic, you could see Teddy’s excitement. It was like he knew. He bounced at the end of his leash, tail wagging nonstop, as if announcing to the world, “I’m back, everybody!” For the first time in weeks, we felt that pure, joyful version of him—full of life, full of love, full of Teddy.

At home, he celebrated with treats, snuggles, and a well-deserved nap in his favorite spot. We couldn’t stop watching him, feeling nothing but gratitude for his strength and the love that carried us all through.
To everyone who worried, prayed, and sent love—thank you. Teddy is healthy, healed, and ready for his next adventure. Our brave boy made it through, and today, our hearts are full.
What Happened to Teddy?
What Happened to Teddy?

Lately, everyone has been asking the same question: What happened to Teddy? The cheerful pup who once bounded through the yard with endless joy has suddenly grown quieter. His playful bark has softened, his famous tail wag has slowed, and his bright eyes sometimes look a little tired. It’s enough to make anyone worry, especially those who know just how full of love and energy Teddy usually is.

So what really happened?
It began a little while ago when Teddy seemed different—sleeping more, eating a little less, and not rushing to the door every time he heard a familiar sound. His family noticed immediately because Teddy is not the kind of dog who hides his feelings. They watched him closely, hoping it was just a lazy day or two. But when the changes didn’t go away, they knew it was time to see the doctor.

At the clinic, Teddy was brave. His paws trembled just a little, but he kept looking at his family as if to say, I trust you. The doctor ran tests, checked his heartbeat, felt around his tummy, and listened to every detail. After a while, they discovered that Teddy wasn’t facing anything life-threatening. There was no cancer, no dangerous illness, nothing that would take him away from the people who love him. But he was fighting something—fatigue, inflammation, and a body that needed rest and care.

So what happened to Teddy? The truth is simple: he needs time. Time to heal, time to regain his playful spark, time to feel like himself again. He may not be racing around the house yet, but little by little, his tail has started to wag again. His naps are more peaceful, and sometimes he brings his favorite toy to the living room, placing it gently near someone he loves—his way of saying, I’m getting there.
The saddest part for Teddy isn’t the discomfort or the medicine or the slower days. The hardest part is that he misses everyone. He misses the people who laughed with him, called his name, and made every day feel like an adventure.
So if you are wondering what happened to Teddy, know this: he is healing, he is hopeful, and he is waiting—waiting for the moment when he can greet you again with that big beautiful heart of his.
